you can take the cog train up to see the statue of
Christ. Once up there you will see a spectacular

Metro from the apartment. In this area you can
take the bondhino (little tram) to the Santa
Teresa neighborhood. On Friday and Saturday
nights the Lapa area turns into a local gathering
place with colorful bars, restaurants, and
nightclubs.

You can go to the Rio Sul Shopping Mall, take a ferry across the Baia de Guanabara Bay to Niteroi, visit one of the many museums in Rio or visit the Jardim Botanico. You can also take side trips and spend a few days in Petropolis, Buzios, or Paraty.
